🚨 Insurance companies are taking billions out of New York. It’s time to reinvest in our healthcare.
New York’s healthcare system is under pressure. Federal cuts have already created major funding gaps for hospitals, healthcare workers, and patients across the state.
At the same time, insurance companies continue to extract enormous profits from New York — sending billions of dollars out of state instead of reinvesting in the healthcare system that generates those profits.
The Reinvest in New York Healthcare Act would fix that. This legislation would place a tax on insurance company profits taken out of state and reinvest those funds directly back into New York’s healthcare system — strengthening hospitals, protecting jobs, and improving patient care.
If lawmakers are serious about protecting healthcare access, they must ensure healthcare dollars stay in New York and support New Yorkers.
