How would cuts to healthcare impact you?

If your local hospital closed… if your out-of-pocket costs went up… if you lost access to your insurance—what would that mean for you or your family? Record a video using the tool below to make sure your voice is heard. Scroll down for some ideas on what to say and tips for recording.

    Prompts to get you started

    • How do you think higher costs — like new doctor visit fees or rising insurance premiums — will impact your ability to get the care you need?
    • If your health insurance got more expensive or was taken away, how do you think that would change your day-to-day life?
    • What part of these health care changes are you most nervous or worried about?
    • When you hear about cuts to healthcare and programs people count on like ACA and Medicaid, what’s the first thing that comes to mind for you?
    • If your local hospital had to close or cut back services, what would that mean for you or your family?

    Tips for recording your video:

    Volume

Find a quiet space with good lighting and minimal background noise.

    Face Visible

Make sure your face is visible and you’re centered in the frame.

    Voice Matters

Speak clearly and be yourself. Your voice matters.

    Clock

Keep it short and authentic. Even 30–60 seconds can be powerful.
