New York’s leaders took action to protect patients, healthcare workers, and hospitals in this year’s state budget.
By investing more than $2 billion to stabilize New York’s healthcare system, Governor Kathy Hochul, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and members of the New York State Legislature helped protect access to high quality care for patients and families across New York.
But the fight is far from over. Far too many New Yorkers are facing unaffordable spikes in the cost of insurance because of federal cuts. Leaders in Albany must remain vigilant and united to defend the progress New York has made.
