A statewide summit on health care enrollment takes place in New York City on July 25th, 2013, organized by a coalition of 1199SEIU, the Healthcare Education Project, Greater New York Hospital Association, Community Service Society of New York, Raising Women’s Voices, Citizen Action of New York, and Public Health Plans. The summit explores ways to maximize enrollment in the New York State Health Benefit Exchange.

The summit includes presentations from the Exchange, and best practices in outreach and enrollment strategies from state-based organizations. The presentations are followed by breakout groups that discuss these questions in detail. This summit sets the stage for a series of regional enrollment summits that the coalition is organizing in the fall of 2013.
